Late Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, (neé Enabulele)
The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, has condoled with the state Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, over the loss of his dear mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, (neé Enabulele) who died at the age of 95.
In a statement issued by Patrick Ochoga and Patrick Ahanor, Chairman and Secretary of the Chapel, the journalists expressed sorrow at the demise of Madam Idahosa, describing the late matriarch as a woman of remarkable virtue, whose life was defined by service, resilience, and unwavering commitment to family and community.
The Chapel noted that her longevity and impactful life is a testament to her strength of character and the values she upheld, which are evident in the lives of her children and all who came in contact with her.
“We join the Deputy Governor, the Idahosa family, and the people of Edo State in mourning this great loss. Losing a mother, regardless of age, is always a deeply painful experience,” the statement read.
Praying that God grants Idahosa and his family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss, the Chapel also prayed that the soul of the departed finds eternal rest.
The demise of the deputy governor’s mother was announced in a statement on Wednesday April 8, 2026, by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo.
The statement said the Idahosa family requested prayers in their mourning period.
