The former spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, and political adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has resigned his office.
Baba-Ahmed, sources who should know, hinted that tendered his resignation about two weeks ago.
The sources at the presidency said the former political adviser did not give details about his resignation but only cited personal reasons.
The very vocal Baba-Ahmed was appointed Special Adviser on Political Matters in the Office of Vice President Kashim Shettima in September 2023.
While in office, he had represented the presidency at several public fora, including a recent national conference with the theme: “Strengthening Nigeria’s Democracy: Pathway to Good Governance and Political Integrity”, which held in Abuja from 28th to 29th January, 2025.
