Donald Trump has threatened to “obliterate” Iran’s power plants and oil wells if a deal is not reached “shortly”.
Trump says the US is in “serious” discussions with the “new and more reasonable” regime in Iran – but warns if a ceasefire is not agreed, the US will hit sites it has “purposefully not yet ‘touched'”. It’s not the first time he has tried to set a deadline.
Trump also repeats his threats against the major fuel hub of Kharg Island – our correspondent Frank Gardner asks whether they could be a bluff.

Meanwhile, the price of oil hits $115 and petrol prices in the UK rise again.
New attacks are reported in Iran, Lebanon, and Israel; while traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains way down on pre-war levels. BBC
