Late ASC Lawal Tukur
An officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, (NCS) involved in a sexcapade with three women was on Tuesday October 15, 2025, discovered dead in a hotel room in the Katsina metropolis.
The deceased officer, who was said to have checked into the Murjani Hotel, has been identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) Lawal Tukur.
One of the hotel’s staff was said to have discovered Tukur’s lifeless body at approximately 8:30 a.m. and immediately alerted the authorities.
According to reports from Zagazola, hotel workers stumbled upon the officer unresponsive and raised the alarm. Upon entering the room, investigators were said to have found empty sachets of unidentified substances discarded in the wastebasket, raising suspicions about the cause of death.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that three women were present at the hotel around the time of the incident. Two of them – Khadija Ali, 34, from Dutsin Amare Quarters in Katsina, and Aisha Lawal, 30, from Ingawa Local Government Area – allegedly spent the night with the deceased. The third woman, Hafsat Yusuf, 22, from Brigade Quarters in Kano, reportedly arrived later and also remained at the hotel.
The body of the late officer was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Katsina, where medical personnel confirmed him dead. His remains have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary, pending the outcome of an autopsy.
Officials from the NCS have been informed of the development, while local authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Tukur’s death.
