Vladimir Putin’s allies have fired back at Joe Biden’s claim that Russia is a ‘paper tiger’ over its Ukraine campaign – with one suggesting only Melania would survive a nuclear strike on the White House
Vladimir Putin’s attack dogs hit back at ‘madman’ Donald Trump, with senator Dmitry Rogozin claiming that after a nuclear strike on the White House only a ‘grimy Melania in a smoking, burned dress’ would emerge from the bunker.
Vladimir Putin’s top allies unleashed a blistering attack today after Donald Trump branded Russia a “paper tiger” over its struggling Ukraine war effort – with one senior official even threatening that only a “grimy Melania in a smoking, burned dress” would emerge from the bunker following a nuclear strike on the White House.
Former space agency boss turned senator Dmitry Rogozin – who recently blasted Putin for ‘killing our own people’ – took aim at the 79-year-old US president, raging: “The old man is throwing threats at us, provoking us by calling us a ‘paper tiger’. Such talk is so unworthy that it is hard to even imagine anything like this coming from the president of a great power – until now.”
Rogozin – a former deputy prime minister who once oversaw Russia’s deadly Sarmat missile program – made it crystal clear Moscow felt offended by Mr Trump’s dig about Russia’s failure to crush Ukraine after three-and-half years.
He slammed the US leader for praising violent methods: “The old and restless American man trolls us by saying that a ‘normal military power’ would have ended such a war in a week,” he said. “I understand what this madman means by his words.

“His ideal is Netanyahu with the monsters in the Israeli General Staff who levelled Palestinian cities with their populations to the ground.”
Rogozin suggested that Trump wanted Putin to decimate Ukrainian cities – specifically Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Lviv – which he claimed the former US president viewed as Russian territories. He vehemently rejected the idea of mass extermination of Ukrainians: “He wants us to physically exterminate our Ukrainian kin, even if they behave by the principle ‘there is a black sheep in every family’,” he said.
He firmly stated that Moscow would not follow such a path: “No, old man, you won’t get your wish. “We are not your idols from Tel Aviv. Yes, you managed to spill Slavic blood, pitting us against each other, reports the Irish Star.
“You were lucky to taste Russian blood, but it will be your ruin; you cannot digest it. Along with it, you will spit out your lungs.”
Rogozin portrayed Russia as a powerful nuclear state held back by restraint, asserting that if Moscow’s existence were threatened, people would witness what the country could do.
He maintained that the strategic nuclear command-and-control system was invincible: “But your old Washington man does not even imagine what we are ready to do if the very existence of the Russian state is threatened.
“The echeloned and multichannel Combat Control System of strategic nuclear forces – and I know what I am talking about – is invulnerable.
“It is such that if anyone crawls out from under the rubble of the White House bunker, it will be a grimy Melania in a smoking, burnt dress.”
Rogozin – who heads a volunteer drone unit at the front while also serving in the Federation Council – blasted Western leaders for petty cruelty and erratic thinking while claiming Russia had been showing restraint. “We do not know why they pour gasoline on the blazing fire. But we will not let them burn our house. “The ‘paper tiger’ is actually a Russian bear burdened with international treaties and obligations, whose fierce temper European donkeys have apparently forgotten.”
The Kremlin’s spokesperson doubled down on the bear imagery rather than a weak tiger: “Russia is not a tiger but is more associated with a bear. “There is no such thing as a paper bear. “”.
State TV agitator Vladimir Solovyov also hit back at Mr Trump’s support for NATO shooting down Russian aircraft entering Western airspace, cautioning the logic “works both ways.”
He roared: “Here’s what Trump said, think about it – NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes if they enter [NATO] airspace,” said the despot’s TV mouthpiece Vladimir Solovyov. “But that works both ways. “It means that if reconnaissance planes appear in our airspace, for example, in [occupied] Crimea, they’re done for.
“We’ll shoot them down. “This means that now, if anyone flies in, don’t blame us. “We have the means to shoot them down. “But what is Poland going to use to shoot down our planes?
“Well, after how they dealt with the drones, I’m afraid to even imagine what and how.” (The Mirror)
