A top mouthpiece for the Kremlin has unleashed another direct threat to Europe as WW3 fears reach dizzying heights across the continent.
It’s feared that the UK could now be facing the “greatest military threat of a generation”, with Brits warned to prepare “for the scale of war our grandparents or great-grandparents endured.” In a haunting speech given in Germany, Western military alliance’s chief Mark Rutte this week said: “Russia is already escalating its covert campaign against our societies.”
This comes as tensions continue to rise over the war in Ukraine, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ruling out the possibility of handing over Ukrainian territory to Russia. Meanwhile, a peace proposal drafted by Washington and Moscow suggests that significant swathes of Ukraine will be surrendered to Russian President Vladimir Putin, with potential limits placed on the Ukrainian military.
And now, as Europe and much of the wider world remains on edge over the Kremlin’s next steps, Putin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has named capital cities Russia ‘will destroy’ in a fresh threat. TV host Solovyov took to the airwaves to threaten the West yet again, mentioning the likes of Berlin, Paris and Vienna as potential targets, should Russia launch an attack.

The leading Kremlin propagandist told viewers on his nightly show that “a nuclear strike on Britain is inevitable”. The threat has renewed fears of a widespread conflict, which could have implications worldwide.
Solovyov said today: “Once again we will have to destroy Berlin and enter this godforsaken city. Once again we will have to enter Paris. Once again, we will have to liberate Vienna. Well perhaps the Australians will reconsider.”
In a bizarre rant, he also added: “It doesn’t mean that we want this. But one of the principles postulated by our supreme commander-in-chief is when we are forced to act then we act. First, of course, the principle of ‘do no harm’ but then…please don’t blame us.”
Chillingly, Putin’s propagandists have stated that the presence of British armed forces in Ukraine amounts to a “casus belli” for a nuclear strike on UK soil, with Russian news anchor Vladimir Solovyov telling viewers: “Now a nuclear strike on Britain is inevitable.”
But what form would WW3 take, and what sort of catastrophic effect would such a conflict have on our shores? An expert has given an eerie prediction on a war that would uproot reality as we know it.
Professor Anthony Glees, a security and intelligence specialist at the University of Buckingham, previously warned the Mirror that we are currently “fighting for our way of life” and must equip ourselves “as quickly as we can”.
The global affairs authority outlined what modern war might resemble in contemporary Britain. He anticipates that any future Western conflict would “follow the pattern of the Ukraine war”, appearing more like a traditional war rather than a nuclear confrontation.
Prof Glees declared: “I believe the chances of an armed conflict between Russia and NATO in which we would be deeply embedded are now all too real. If the next war is a nuclear war, it will be up and running in hours and over in hours. There will be no winners, only losers.”
The professor reckons Putin “will have become suicidal” and would “attack a number of key sites in the UK and continental Europe, almost certainly without warning and without an ultimatum”. He warned: “There will be no time for anyone to do very much except prepare for deep impact extinction as best they can.” (Daily Mirror)
