Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken out after Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja publicly distanced itself from a purported medical document circulating online that linked her to substance abuse.
The viral report, allegedly issued by the facility, claimed the actress underwent a detox programme and tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, and other substances.
Hours after the document spread across social media, the hospital released a statement strongly denying any involvement in leaking such a report or validating its authenticity.
Responding via Instagram, Regina thanked the facility for setting the record straight.
She noted that because of her personal relationship with the hospital’s owner, the rumour was particularly shocking and upsetting when she first encountered it.
She explained that the allegations initially left her deeply unsettled and considering legal action.
However, she appreciated the hospital for openly clarifying the truth despite their ties to her family.
Read her: “Thank you for this. Knowing the owner of this hospital is a family friend made me almost go crãzy and sue y’all. But thanks for standing by the truth, admits knowing your big fish in the family. Saving your hospital and just doing the right thing. So thanks, and let me kill this.”
Her reaction further calms the controversy as she takes steps to put the misinformation to rest. (Prompt News)
