The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kuwait, with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, has issued an urgent security advisory to Nigerian nationals residing in both countries amid the prevailing circumstances in the region.
In a circular released on Sunday and signed by the Embassy of Nigeria, the diplomatic mission urged Nigerians in the State of Kuwait and Bahrain to remain vigilant, adhere strictly to safety protocols, and follow official directives issued by their host governments.
The circular read, “In view of the prevailing circumstances in the region, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the State of Kuwait with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishes to advice all Nigerian nationals in both countries to remain vigilant, observe safety guidelines, advisories from the host (official) governments, and remain calm at all times.”
The Embassy further stressed the importance of staying informed through verified and official sources, particularly announcements from Kuwaiti and Bahraini authorities.
“The Embassy further wishes to encourage our nationals to monitor local news and official Kuwaiti and Bahraini Government announcements. The Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in close contact with the leadership of the various communities,” the statement said.
The Nigerian mission assured citizens that it is actively monitoring developments and maintaining communication with leaders of Nigerian community associations in both countries to ensure timely updates and coordinated responses where necessary.
In a move aimed at strengthening direct engagement and rapid response, the Embassy announced the creation of a dedicated mobile and WhatsApp communication line.
