French President Emmanuel Macron sees President Trump’s “unpredictability” as a key advantage in ending Russia’s war in Ukraine.
“He brings a fundamental advantage against Russia: his unpredictability,” Macron told French outlet Paris Match of Trump after Monday’s meeting in Washington with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Macron also singled out first lady Melania Trump.
“She has a real role with him, she is a voice that carries weight, particularly on the humanitarian level,” he said.
Melania penned a “peace letter” to Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, lamenting the violent conflict’s harm on the youngest generation, and pleading “it is time” to end the war.
In the interview, Macron also boasted about his relationship with Trump compared to that UK Prime Minister Starmer.

“We’ve known each other for a long time. I speak frankly to him,” Macron said of the commander in chief. “Sometimes things have gotten heated between us, but unlike others, I never make fun of him. . . . and I never underestimate him.”
