Fubara Missing As PDP Governors Meet in Ibadan

The suspended Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara was conspicuously absent as governors of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, converged on Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for their ongoing meeting to deliberate on the state of the party and key national issues.

The meeting is being held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.

Newsmata.com.ng recalls that the embattled Fubara was suspended and a state of emergency imposed on his Rivers State on March 18, 2025, by President Bola Tinubu following a protracted disagreement between him and his estranged godfather, Nyesom Wike, the immediate past governor of the state now minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Present at the crucial meeting in Ibadan are Governors Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Ademola Adeleke (Osun) and Agbu Kefas (Taraba).

Others are: Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Umaru Fintiri (Adamawa), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), and the host governor, Seyi Makinde.

Governors Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta) and Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom) were represented by their deputies.
